Spanish B SL/HL

IB Spanish SL and HL are two-year courses emphasizing communication and culture. Students will continue to use the grammatical structures from the previous levels of study and learn more advanced structures while perfecting written and oral communication skills. Students sitting for the SL exam must have studied the language for at least four years of coursework. Five years of the language is strongly recommended. Students will learn at an accelerated pace and the coursework will demonstrate elevated rigor.

German B SL
​
IB German SL is a two-year course that emphasizes language acquisition and the development of language skills. The course aims to cultivate students’ intercultural understanding and to help students understand and use German in a variety of contexts and for a variety of purposes. IB German SL students--through social interactions and the study of a range of text types--develop an awareness and appreciation of the different perspectives of people from other cultures. Students sitting for the SL exam must have studied the language for at least four years of coursework. Students will learn at an accelerated pace and the coursework will demonstrate elevated rigor.
